The Baltimore Ravens get the receiver everyone was asking for, finding a shifty but strong slot receiver in Texas’ Devin Duvernay

In the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens selected Texas WR Devin Duvernay with the No. 92 pick.

While you might be inclined to think Duvernay isn’t a great wide receiver because he fell to the third round, you’d be mistaken. Duvernay is exactly what the Ravens need at the position and a great compliment to the outside speed of Marquise Brown and size in Miles Boykin.

Duvernay burst on the scene at Texas in 2019, catching 106 passes for 1,386 yards and nine touchdowns. He also added a rushing touchdown on 10 carries.

This is the second consecutive draft where Baltimore has taken a wide receiver in the third round, with Boykin being their pick at No. 93 in the 2019 NFL Draft. But with an offense that led the league and broke a 41-year-old record in rushing yards and the 2019 NFL MVP in quarterback Lamar Jackson, another top wide receiver might just make this group undefendable.
