The Baltimore Ravens selected Rashod Bateman with the 27th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. They also held the 31st overall selection, where they took Jayson Oweh, the edge rusher out of Penn State.

Oweh has plenty of athletic gifts that can translate over to the NFL level, but he didn’t accumulate a sack in 2020 with the Nittany Lions. He did however, have a phenominal pro day, running a 4.37 40-yard dash.

Oweh will now play in Baltimore, where he will have the opportunity to learn from defensive linemen such as Calais Campbell, Derek Wolfe, and even Pernell McPhee. The Ravens liked Oweh enough to take a chance on his athletic gifts, and there might not have been a better spot for him to land in than Baltimore.
