The Baltimore Ravens have seen their secondary become littered with injuries over the course of the 2021 season. Particularly at the cornerback position, the team has lost countless players, severely impacting their season.
In Week 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore lost yet another cornerback, as Anthony Averett made a tackle on Cincinnati tight end C. J. Uzomah and went down in extreme pain. He ended up being carted off of the field and initially ruled as questionable to return, but the team eventually ruled him out for the remainder of the contest.

With the injury to Averett, the Ravens had just one healthy cornerback remaining from their 2021 preseason depth chart in Tavon Young. However, Young also appeared to get injured, leaving Baltimore dangerously thin in their secondary.
