Ravens’ Ronnie Stanley on Baltimore: ‘It’s like a second home’

Ravens offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley called Baltimore ‘like a second home’

The Baltimore Ravens are relying on offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley’s big year. The veteran has seen his career path change in recent years due to multiple injuries, including an ankle injury that cost him around two years of playing time.

Despite his injury woes, Stanley has been an essential piece of the Ravens’ offense. He recently altered his contract, and when asked about why, Stanley mentioned that Baltimore is like a second home to him, and if he leaves, he wants to do it on a positive note, not the wrong one.

Baltimore is a like a second home to me. Going on my ninth year and missing a lot of time, if that was my last year, [it] just wouldn’t really sit right with me. I would probably have some regret leaving Baltimore [not] on the note that I want to leave it on.”

The Ravens underwent an overhaul on their offensive line this offseason, which included losing three starters. A healthy and effective Stanley would go a long way for Baltimore’s offense, especially as a veteran presence with plenty of young players projected to start alongside him.
