Ravens reportedly interested in reunion with DL Michael Pierce

The Ravens are reportedly interested in a reunion with defensive tackle Michael Pierce

The Baltimore Ravens continue to make 2022 free agent splashes, even as the league year officially began on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET. The team officially signed safety Marcus Williams and offensive tackle Morgan Moses, while also reportedly agreeing to a four-year deal with outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith.

Despite those three moves, the Ravens might not be done adding outside free agents. It was reported by Josina Anderson of USA Today that the team has some interest in former Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Michael Pierce. The veteran played in Baltimore for multiple years to start his career before leaving for Minnesota.

Anderson makes it clear that the addition of Smith could mean that the Ravens might not have the cap space to bring Pierce back. However, there are multiple avenues for Baltimore to free up some money, which could open the door for a reunion. If Pierce is signed by the Ravens, it’s probably unlikely that fellow defensive lineman Brandon Williams returns to the organization.
