The Baltimore Ravens have suffered an astronomical amount of injuries during 2021 training camp and the preseason. However, with the regular season just a few short days away, their injury luck hasn’t gotten any better. In fact, it’s gotten much, much worse.
After losing running back Justice Hill to a torn achilles, it was reported by multiple people that during practice on Thursday running back Gus Edwards and cornerback Marcus Peters likely suffered significant injuries on back-to-back plays. The Ravens ended practice early because of the events that transpired. It was later reported that both are feared to have torn ACLs, which would be a brutal blow to the team in multiple ways.
The #Ravens cut short practice today after CB Marcus Peters and RB Gus Edwards sustained potentially significant knee injuries on back-to-back plays, per me and @MikeGarafolo. The team is having tests done on both players.

Losing both Edwards and Peters is a worst-case scenario. Baltimore is already extremely thin at running back with other season-ending injuries suffered by J.K. Dobbins and Justice Hill, and Peters is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL and would be a big loss himself. It remains to be seen if the injures the two sustained are significant, but with it looking likely, the Ravens will have to rely on the next man up and continue to put together the best possible roster that they can.
