The Baltimore Ravens kicked off their voluntary organized team activities this week, giving players the opportunity to get on the field with their teammates and build chemistry. However, with the workouts being not mandatory there isn’t a requirement to show up, a decision which some players have exercised.
One of the players who hasn’t shown up to OTAs is Baltimore star quarterback Lamar Jackson. There have been multiple schools of thought when talking about if Jackson should be at the workouts, but when Chris Simms criticized the signal caller for not being with his team Jackson responded, saying that OTAs are voluntary and that he will be there, just not on his watch.
Lamar wants to be Lamar Chris. This part of OTAs is Voluntary my Guy I will be there, just not on your watch it’s probably other QBs not attending Voluntary OTAs either but since it’s Lamar it’s a huge deal. Find something else to talk about🙄 https://t.co/2Nx2b767bb
