The Baltimore Ravens picked up a 27-22 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8 of the 2022 season. Baltimore’s offense struggled immensely in the first half, but were able to make adjustments in the second part of the game that gave them their second-straight victory of the year.
When talking to the media after the game, quarterback Lamar Jackson was asked if the team made adjustments to run the ball more in the first half after attempting just seven rushes over the first two periods. Jackson laid out what the team’s approach was in the first half, and what they did differently after coming out of the locker room.
“Our approach earlier was just throwing the ball, seeing what they were going to give us. We had opportunities and just came up short. In the second half, we just called a lot more run plays, and our guys blocked their tails off, and our running backs were hitting the holes and doing what they’re supposed to do.”
