Ravens pick up fifth-year option for Lamar Jackson

The Baltimore Ravens picked up the fifth-year option on Lamar Jackson, making the decision official

The Baltimore Ravens were one of the few teams who hadn’t made an official decision on the fifth-year option for their first round selection of the 2018 NFL draft. For Baltimore, that player was quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has blossomed into a star over his first three seasons in the NFL.

After head coach John Harbaugh guaranteed on the Rich Eisen Show that the Ravens would pick up the option, Baltimore made the decision official on Friday afternoon.

Jackson will make just over $23 million in 2022 after costing just over $1.7 million in 2021. The Ravens had until May 3rd to decide, but no longer have to worry about making the decision official.
