Ravens part ways with VFL Morgan Cox

Ravens will not re-sign VFL, 2020 All-Pro Morgan Cox.

The Baltimore Ravens and former University of Tennessee football player Morgan Cox have parted ways.

The team informed Cox that he would not be re-signed, according to the team’s website.

Cox was named to the Pro Bowl this season and was also selected as an NFL All-Pro recently.

Cox, a native of Collierville, Tennessee, entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2010.

The former Vol found his niche in the league as a special teams standout.

He appeared in 165 games for the Ravens as a long snapper and has 11 career tackles over 11 seasons.

Cox won Super Bowl XLVII with the Ravens and was a 4-time Pro Bowler for Baltimore, making the AFC team in 2015, 2016, 2019 and 2020.

He played his high school football at Evangelical Christian School, before coming to Tennessee as a walk-on. Cox would eventually earn a scholarship with the Vols as he established himself as a long snapper.
