The Baltimore Ravens were able to get many key contributors back during the 2022 season, especially those that missed all or most of 2021 with serious ailments. One of those players was offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, who missed almost two years with an ankle injury he suffered in 2020.
During his end-of-season media availability, Stanley was asked about if his return to the field sparked his love for the game of football again. The All-Pro discussed how happy he was to get back on the field, saying that it was extremely hard to sit back and watch over the last few years.
“Yes, being able to just have a chance and just to have an opportunity the last couple of years. [It’s been] really hard to just watch and really not knowing what the future had. Being able to come back and be effective and really help the team and do everything I could to help the team – and I was very happy that I could do that.”
Stanley returned to an extremely high level of play over the course of the 2022 season, reminding people how valuable he is when he’s able to suit up on the field. He’ll look to have a healthy offseason for the first time in a long time, something that will be extremely beneficial.
