Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Jaylon Ferguson tragically passed away at 26-years-old

The Baltimore Ravens announced the death of outside linebacker Jaylon Ferguson on Wednesday morning. He was 26 years old. Details of his death aren’t known at this time.

Ferguson was gearing up for his fourth NFL season after being a third-round pick of Baltimore in the 2019 draft.

“We are profoundly saddened by the tragic passing of Jaylon Ferguson,” the Ravens wrote in a statement on Wednesday morning. “He was a kind, respectful young man with a big smile and infectious personality. We express our heartfelt condolences to Jaylon’s family and friends as we mourn a life lost much too soon.”

In three seasons with the Ravens, Ferguson accumulated 67 total tackles and 4.5 sacks. He earned the nickname “Sack Daddy” in college, as he holds the FBS sack record at 45, breaking the previous record held by Terrell Suggs.

His agent, Safarrah Lawson, confirmed the news.

He was beloved by his teammates and coaches, and many spoke highly of the person that he was as a bright young man who had goals to be great.
