Ravens named as trade fit for Panthers QB by The Draft Network

The Ravens were named as a trade fit for a Carolina Panthers quarterback by The Draft Network

The Baltimore Ravens are currently trying to figure out their quarterback situation, with Lamar Jackson at the forefront of what comes next for their team. Baltimore and Jackson have yet to agree on a long-term extension, leaving his future with the Ravens in cloudy uncertainty.

Due to the uncertainty, when listing off the three best trade destinations for Carolina Panthers quarterback Matt Corral, Justin Melo of The Draft Network named Baltimore as the top option for the second-year signal caller. Melo said he believes Jackson will return to the Ravens in 2023, but the future of quarterback Tyler Huntley also remains uncertain, potentially creating a hole at backup quarterback.

“General manager Eric DeCosta also placed the low restricted tender on backup signal-caller Tyler Huntley. The Ravens could lose Huntley for nothing, which would create a hole behind their starter. Corral is a mobile runner that’s capable of operating the run-heavy offense Baltimore has fielded in recent years. Corral could be viewed as an intriguing developmental option behind whoever their starter is in 2023.”
