Ravens move OLB Tyus Bowser to Reserve/PUP list

The Ravens moved outside linebacker Tyus Bowser to the Reserve/PUP list

The Baltimore Ravens dealt with injuries over the entirety of the 2021 season. Their bad luck started before the year even began, and continued throughout the entire season, including in the team’s final matchup of the campaign against the Pittsburgh Steelers where outside linebacker Tyus Bowser suffered a torn achilles.

It’s been unclear when the former Houston star would be able to return to the practice field, and on Friday the team put out a statement that shed some clarity on Bowser’s situation. The team announced that Bowser was moved to the Reserve/PUP list, meaning that he’ll miss at least the first-four games of the 2022 season.

Bowser was arguably Baltimore’s most consistent defender in 2021, totaling 59 tackles and seven sacks. He is a versatile player that showed massive strides as a pass rusher last season while also being able to be split out wide and cover effectively.

In Bowser’s absence, players such as Odafe Oweh, Justin Houston, Daelin Hayes and others will have to step up.
