Ravens’ Lamar Jackson thinks about playoff loss to Titans ‘constantly’

Jackson says he’s reminded of the loss whenever he posts on social media, too.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback and reigning NFL Most Valuable Player Lamar Jackson can’t seem to shake his team’s playoff loss to the Tennessee Titans.

The Ravens seemed destined to at least meet the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, but their season ended abruptly after the Titans upset them in the Divisional Round.

According to Kevin Clark of The Ringer, Jackson thinks about the loss “constantly” and can’t avoid seeing comments about it when he posts on social media.

Jackson put up big numbers in the losing effort, as he threw for 365 yards and a touchdown, while also running for another 143 yards.

However he also threw two game-changing picks and the Titans’ defense was able to keep the Ravens’ explosive offense in check en route to allowing just 12 points, the team’s lowest output of the entire 2019 campaign.

This isn’t the first time Jackson has expressed how difficult he took the loss.

Just a few weeks after, he told The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec that he was “hurt” and “depressed” in the days following the game, and so much so that he didn’t want to leave his room.

“I didn’t leave my room, to be honest,” Jackson said. “I wasn’t frustrated. I was hurt. I was depressed. It was like, ‘I don’t even want to go outside right now. I’m not happy right now.’ There was nothing to celebrate.”

To the victor go the spoils, and Titans fans will continue to remind Jackson every chance they get until the Ravens are able to avenge their loss.
