The Baltimore Ravens were already down defensive end Calais Campbell heading into tonight’s game against the New England Patriots. And has been routine for Baltimore, an area that was already a little shallow just got a little shallower as defensive tackle Brandon Williams suffered an ankle injury early in the second quarter and is now questionable to return.
The Ravens have been trying to play catch-up with their various injuries, especially on defense. Baltimore entered the game with just four healthy cornerbacks after putting several players on injured reserve already this season. Though the Ravens used this offseason to revamp their defensive line, Williams being out for any extended time is a huge blow to the team’s run defense.
With Williams out currently, rookies Justin Madubuike and Broderick Washington Jr. will likely get a bigger share of the snaps.
