The Baltimore Ravens brought in inside linebacker Roquan Smith at the 2022 trade deadline, acquiring him from the Chicago Bears in exchange for a second-round pick, a fifth-round pick and inside linebacker A.J. Klein. The move paid off in a big way for Baltimore, as Smith was an instant hit in the Ravens’ defense, especially next to fellow inside linebacker Patrick Queen.
Smith has made sure to have a presence during Baltimore’s 2023 offseason workouts, and talked with media after one of the team’s voluntary organized team activities practices. He was asked about Queen and what it means that he’s also out at OTAs, and Smith had plenty of nice things to say about his teammate.
“I truly enjoy working with that guy [Patrick Queen]. I think he’s a pro at the end of the day. He’s out here to get better with the guys. He’s just trying to make this year his best year thus far, and talking with him, I think [he has a] heck of a talent. I’m excited to just be next to him, playing with him and making each other better.”
