Ravens HC John Harbaugh shares thoughts on performance of QB Anthony Brown in Week 18 vs. Bengals

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh shared his thoughts on the performance of quarterback Anthony Brown in Week 18

The Baltimore Ravens suffered a 27-16 defeat at the hands of the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 18, pushing their final 2022 record to 10-7. Both teams will matchup again on Wild Card Weekend back in Cincinnati in a game that will determine who wins the season series, as both teams have captured a game on the other.

Following the contest, Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh was asked about the performance of third-string quarterback Anthony Brown, who was thrust into starting duty due to injuries to Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley. Harbaugh said that there are things for Brown to learn from, but he was out on the field fighting and made a few plays for them.

“Yes, I mean he was out there fighting, made some plays [and] did a good job. Obviously, [there are] other things to learn from. He’s a smart guy, he’ll take those things and learn from them. Our guys appreciate him and know he’s another battler out there. He made some outstanding throws. I liked it, I thought he did well.”

Brown completed 19-of-44 passes for 286 yards and two interceptions, also losing a fumble in the process. He didn’t play up to the standard that Baltimore needed, but can take away plenty of valuable lessons from his performance.
