The Baltimore Ravens made a splash on the second day of 2024 free agency, signing running back Derrick Henry to a two-year deal worth $16 million. Henry will pair up exceptionally well with quarterback Lamar Jackson and hopefully help the team achieve its goal of bringing another Super Bowl back to Baltimore.
Henry is a veteran who knows his way around the NFL. Head coach John Harbaugh spoke about his impressions of the rusher so far, saying he’s a great guy, a hard worker, and a pro.
“Yes. I guess the main thing that’s stood out is just what a great guy he is, what a hard worker, what a pro [he is]. He’s so diligent, [he’s in] great shape, and [he’s] diligent about every single play, everything he does. You can see why he’s been so successful.”
Henry instantly becomes a difference-maker in the Ravens’ offense, making an already vital aspect of the unit even more potent. His unique blend of size and speed makes him a nightmare for opposing defenses to deal with, and he is a player that Baltimore is happy about and is on their side now after eight years with the Tennessee Titans.
