The Baltimore Ravens have more draft assets to work with after trading Orlando Brown Jr. to the Kansas City Chiefs. Baltimore now holds the No. 27 overall pick and the No. 31 overall pick in the first round, and can maneuver up and down the draft board in a plethora of ways.
One scenario for the Ravens is trading their newly acquired 31st selection and picking up some extra Day 2 picks. Baltimore currently has to wait 63 selections after their second first round pick to be on the clock again, as their next pick after No. 31 is at the end of the third round with No. 94.
NFL insider Jason La Canfora reports that the Ravens are indeed pondering a move from No. 31, saying the team is “fielding calls” for the selection.

It makes sense for the Ravens to at least look at what other teams would be willing to give up for their second first-round pick. While teams all over the NFL are most likely calling each other to try to feel out what a deal would look like for certain selections, it seems highly unlikely that Baltimore will stay put with the picks they currently have.
Having nine picks in the 2021 draft gives Eric DeCosta and company plenty of options as to how they want to let the draft play out for them. They could opt to move up, move down, or just stay put. However, with the report from La Canfora that the Ravens are seeing what’s available for the 31st pick, it seems that night one of the draft will be far from quiet for Baltimore.
