The Baltimore Ravens have proved many doubters wrong over the first 12 weeks of the 2021 season, boasting an 8-3 record while not only being atop their division in the AFC North, but also the entire AFC. They have accomplished so much despite losing many key players to injury during what seems like every week,
Baltimore fullback Patrick Ricard was asked about how the team has overcome injuries and be where they are with their 8-3 record, calling what they’ve accomplished “incredible”.
“Oh, it’s incredible. Just imagine if we had everyone from the start of the season right now [with] how good of a team we are, but that still doesn’t matter. I think it’s just a credit to this organization and the coaches and the players that we have, that we’re able to still be successful and find ways to win. I don’t think anybody thought we would be where we are right now.”
Ricard has played a bit part in the successes that the Ravens’ offense has had in 2021. The fullback wears many different hats for the team, and he has blossomed into one of the most important players on the offensive side of the ball. As he notes, no one thought that the team would be where they are right now, but they have believed in themselves and have put together a very impressive performance through 12 weeks.
