Ravens DT says game vs. Bengals is ‘going to be a bloodbath’

Baltimore DT Justin Madubuike didn’t shy away on his feelings about Sunday’s Bengals-Ravens matchup.

The Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens have developed quite the rivalry over the years. Sure, it hasn’t gone Cincinnati’s way in recent memory, but overall, it’s a close series, as the Ravens only have a 27-23 edge in the matchup’s history.

But Sunday’s meeting in Baltimore has some added firepower between the teams and it’s not just because first place in the AFC North through seven games is on the line.

It’s going to be a “bloodbath”, according to Ravens DT Justin Madubuike, as noted by ESPN’s Jamison Hensley. He added: “There’s definitely more hostility in the air” ahead of the Week 6 matchup between teams looking to keep a playoff pace alive.

Who knows what those “things” are the Bengals are saying, but as if the Bengals needed any more motivation, Madubuike gave it to them.

The Bengals are certainly hoping they can provide the bloodbath for a change. The Ravens have won the last three meetings by scores of 38-3, 27-3 and 49-13 and have won the last five meetings overall. Cincinnati has not defeated Baltimore since Week 2 of 2018, when A.J. Green had three first-half touchdowns in Cincy’s 34-23 victory.
