Ravens’ DeShon Elliott fined for hit on Colts’ Jack Doyle

The hit on Jack Doyle warranted a fine.

Baltimore Ravens safety DeShon Elliott was fined for the helmet-to-helmet hit he laid on Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle during the Week 8 game at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Doyle left the game immediately after the hit with concussion symptoms and is currently in the league’s concussion protocol. The hit, which no flag was thrown on the play, kept Doyle from playing the Week 10 game on Thursday night against the Tennessee Titans.

Head coach Frank Reich told reporters on Friday that Doyle is still in the league’s concussion protocol. The Colts will return to practice next week as they prepare for the Week 11 home matchup with the Green Bay Packers.
