Head coach John Harbaugh was very impressed with how Lamar Jackson looked in practice today.
Jackson had missed four of the first five practices with an unspecified illness, and reported flu-like symptoms.
However, he returned on Saturday, and according to his coach, he got better as the session went on.
Most importantly, his energy level was high.
“I thought he did really well, especially considering the fact that he has had to come back from being sick,” said Harbaugh.
“I thought he looked good, had a lot of energy. He worked really hard to get out here.
“He put his best foot forward. Even as the practice went on, you could see him finding himself more and more.
“I was really happy about it.”

Today’s outcome was much better than Wednesday’s when Jackson returned to practice but felt ill again and thus had to leave the session early.
Perhaps midweek was too soon for the superstar quarterback to return. But now that he’s back practicing, he still has plenty of time to prepare for the preseason opener in 13 days.
