Ravens CB named as potential underpriced 2023 free agent by NFL.com

A Ravens cornerback was named as a potential underpriced 2023 free agent by NFL.com

The Baltimore Ravens are in the midst of a very important offseason that will see them try to improve their roster in many different ways. One of the avenues they could look to explore is revamping their cornerback room behind star cornerback Marlon Humphrey, as they team doesn’t have a lot of depth behind him.

When listing off potential underpriced and overpriced 2023 free agents, Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com named Humphrey’s recent running mate as an underpriced option in cornerback Marcus Peters. Rosenthal talked about how Peters is the type of player to be undervalued during free agency, and could be a steal for a team at one-year, $9 million.

“Peters is the type of player who tends to get undervalued in free agency. Though he’s far from a long-term solution, Peters can provide average starting cornerback play at worst and could still pop up with a top-20 type of season. And he’ll ultimately cost something like $9 million on a one-year deal. That’s a bargain.”
