Ravens become first AFC team to clinch a playoff spot with win over Jaguars

The Baltimore Ravens improved to 11-3 with their 23-7 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday Night Football, becoming the first AFC team to clinch a playoff berth.

The Ravens currently possess the No. 1 seed in the AFC with three games remaining in the regular season.

Baltimore will travel across the country to face the 11-3 San Francisco 49ers on Christmas Day next week before returning home for a pivotal showdown with the Miami Dolphins with massive playoff implications on the line.

With the Dolphins just one game behind the Ravens, beating Miami is the biggest hurdle for Baltimore to enter the playoffs with a bye and home-field advantage courtesy of the No. 1 seed.

While the Ravens are in the driver’s seat for the top seed in the conference at the moment, they have little room for error with the Cleveland Browns still breathing down their necks in the division with a 9-5 record following their comeback win over the Chicago Bears in Week 15.
