Ravens are well aware red-hot Bengals are capable of being a playoff spoiler

The Cincinnati Bengals have a chance to play spoiler on the Baltimore Ravens once again.

The Cincinnati Bengals enter Week 17 in a scenario where their opponent, the Baltimore Ravens, are 41-0.

Yet those Ravens know just how dangerous the Bengals are right now.

Just ask Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, who told ESPN’s Jamison Hensley: “They’re playing their best football of the season — really by far.”

No lies there. The Bengals haven’t just won two games in a row — they ended a losing streak against the Pittsburgh Steelers in prime time, then got their first road win since September 2018 by taking down the Houston Texans.

The win over Houston was especially impressive because Zac Taylor coached backup passer Brandon Allen to a career day — and cooled off his hot seat in the process.

Which isn’t to say the Ravens aren’t surging. They’ve now won four games in a row and Lamar Jackson is back to looking like the player who won league MVP last year.

But the Ravens know just how dangerous the Bengals can be in the final game of the season and it certainly doesn’t hurt that Harbaugh is right — these Bengals are suddenly on a massive upswing.
