The Baltimore Ravens have five draft picks in the 2023 NFL draft after trading away multiple picks for inside linebacker Roquan Smith from the Chicago Bears. They have to make the most of the selections that they have, but could opt to add more picks in trades throughout the offseason.
In his latest two-round mock draft, Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports has Baltimore addressing a key defensive need with their only pick in University of Maryland cornerback Deonte Banks. Wilson mentioned Banks’ athleticism, size, and physicality can match up with NFL wide receivers at the next level.
“Maryland teammate and fellow CB Jakorian Bennett got much of the buzz in the fall, but Banks but together the type of season that will land you in the top-50 conversation. He’s a fluid athlete who is also big, physical corner who can run and match up with NFL wide receivers.”
