Ravens add CB help in latest 2022 mock draft by CBS Sports

The Ravens get cornerback help in the latest 2022 mock draft by CBS Sports

The Baltimore Ravens saw many key members of their secondary go down for the year with injuries during the 2021 season. Players such as Marlon Humphrey, Marcus Peters, DeShon Elliott and others missed significant time, which had a massive impact on the performance of the Baltimore defense.

It wouldn’t be shocking to see the Ravens invest heavily in their secondary during the 2022 offseason, especially with some uncertainty at multiple positions. In his latest 2022 NFL mock draft, Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports has Baltimore taking one of the top cornerbacks available in April’s draft in Clemson’s Andrew Booth Jr., saying that the Ravens have questions in their secondary and Booth has plenty of great tools to work with.

“The Ravens’ secondary was decimated by injuries this season; Jimmy Smith is in the final year of his deal and Marcus Peters and Tavon Young are set to hit free agency after next season. Booth has all the athleticism and tools to be special, and he balled out for Clemson this season.”

In three years at Clemson, Booth totaled 68 tackles and five interceptions. He stands 6-foot-0 and weighs around 200 pounds, and has a very good mix of size, speed and athleticism. He is around the ball a lot, and showed that he loves to compete and win. He can play in almost any situation and is very versatile, but has had a few issues with missed tackles and playing in zone coverage.

Booth is one of the top prospects in all of the 2022 class, and for good reason. He would fill a need for Baltimore depending on who ends up staying and leaving in their secondary, and Booth would also likely represent one of the best players still available on the board at No. 14, assuming he makes it there
