Rashod Bateman throws out first pitch at Twins game

It’s been a longstanding tradition to see Baltimore Ravens players throw out the first pitch at a Baltimore Orioles game. The latest example was when former Baltimore offensive tackle Jonathan Ogden took the mound before the game in front of the Camden Yards crowd.

Rookie wide receiver Rashod Bateman got the honor of throwing out the first pitch at an Orioles game a few months ago.

However, despite throwing some heat in Baltimore, the pass catcher wasn’t done with the mound. On Wednesday, Bateman returned to his old stomping grounds in Minnesota to deliver another first pitch, this time at a Minnesota Twins game.

Bateman spent a lot of meaningful time in Minnesota, playing four years of college football at the University of Minnesota. The former Golden Gopher seemingly holds the university and the state as a whole close to his heart.

With the amount of time Bateman has spent on a baseball diamond recently, he might start to get looks from professional baseball teams to pitch for them. However, he’ll be relied upon to produce on the football field early and often for the Ravens, and instead of throwing the ball, he’ll be catching it.
