After calling the Tennessee Titans “lame” (and doxxing himself) for issuing him a fine recently for his showing up late to an appointment, outside linebacker Rashad Weaver shared his thoughts on the situation.
Weaver explained that he was just frustrated with the fine and was showing his emotions, but both he and head coach Mike Vrabel have since talked it over and are good.
He also made it clear there were no “underlying problems” other than that, meaning his frustration didn’t stem from a bigger issue with the team.
“It was just a moment of frustration and me just really showing emotions at the time,” Weaver said, per Paul Kuharsky. “I tried to delete it quick; it wasn’t as big as a deal as I thought it was going to be. Someone screenshotted it and threw it up and made a bigger deal than what I thought it was.
“But me and Vrabes talked and we’re good,” Weaver added. “There was no underlying problems or anything bigger than that.”
If he didn’t already, Weaver should know two things by now: the internet is too fast for him to get away with a delete, and even the slightest whiff of a controversy is always going to make headlines (guilty as charged).
Along with his explanation of the social media post, Weaver revealed that he will be returning to practice on Wednesday, which puts him on track to return in Week 9 after sitting out last Sunday with a back injury.
