Rapper Rich Homie Quan, who had role in 2014 Rose Bowl, passes away at age 34

Rapper Rich Homie Quan, who was on the sidelines for MSU’s 2014 Rose Bowl win, tragically passed away at the age of 34

Back in 2013, one of the biggest songs in the world was Type of Way by rapper Rich Homie Quan. The song became the anthem of the 2013-14 Michigan State football team, especially in their postgame celebrations. It became such a big part of the team, they actually flew Rich Homie Quan out for their 2014 Rose Bowl win over Stanford.

Unfortunately, Rich Homie Quan tragically passed away this week at the age of 34. The cause of death is suspected to be from a drug overdose.

For those who were following the team at the time, Rich Homie Quan will always be a part of the history of MSU in one of the most cherished victories of the Mark Dantonio era.
