Ranking the top seven Louisiana recruits in the class of 2026

Here are the top seven recruits in Louisiana’s class of 2026. How many are committed to LSU?

LSU football inked the bulk of its 2025 recruiting class earlier this month. Transfer portal season isn’t over, and there’s always a chance LSU will add a high-school recruit in the second signing period, but most of the recruiting work for 2025 is done.

Now, our attention turns to the next cycle. Over the next few months, the battles for 2026’s top recruits will heat up. LSU, as usual, expects to make a run at some of the best players in the country.

The football talent in Louisiana is rich, and 2026 is no different. The state will offer LSU a handful of blue-chip recruits that can lay the foundation for a strong class.

LSU also hopes for an improved NIL operation to catapult it into the conversation with top recruits nationally.

The sport is still changing with revenue sharing upon us. This could change the way recruiting looks, with schools able to pay players directly. The details are far from worked out.

In the meantime, let’s look at Louisiana’s top recruits in 2026.

7. Defensive tackle Dylan Berymon

Even with Jahkeem Stewart reclassifying to 2025, it’s a good year for defensive tackles in Louisiana. Dylan Berymon is part of that.

Rivals is high on Berymon, slotting the Louisiana prospect as the No. 10 defensive lineman in the country. In the On3 Industry Rankings On3 Industry Rankings, Berymon is the No. 232 overall prospect and the No. 23 ranked defensive tackle.

LSU is in on Berymon, and like any blue chip in Louisiana, the Tigers should be considered the early favorite. But Berymon has offers from Texas and Oregon, meaning LSU will have to fend off some of the nation’s top-money schools.

6. Wide receiver Jabari Mack

Louisiana is known for its blue-chip wide receivers. Every cycle, the boot is sure to produce some of the country’s top pass catchers. In 2026, the top name is Jabari Mack.

Mack hails from Destrehan High in New Orleans, a school that is accustomed to sending talent to LSU.

Mack is a consensus top-120 prospect and is sure to be a high priority for LSU when 2026 recruiting heats up.

5. Tackle Brysen Martinez

It’s a strong year for offensive linemen in the Boot, with Martinez being one of two OLs to make this list.

All four major recruiting services consider Martinez to be a top-10 tackle nationally. He’s a borderline top-50 prospect, giving him a chance to finish as a five-star if he takes off in 2025.

LSU OL coach Brad Davis has an impressive history when it comes to recruiting blue-chip tackles in Louisiana. LSU is the favorite here.

4. Safety Aiden Hall

Hall is the first LSU commit on this list. Both On3 and Rivals consider Hall to be a top 50 prospect nationally, and the On3 Industry Rankings slot Hall as the No. 5 ranked safety in the country.

LSU’s safety play has been inconsistent in recent years, and the Tigers are hoping to restock the room with talent. LSU’s 2025 class was solid, and Hall gives Brian Kelly and the staff a chance to build on that in 2026.

3. Defensive tackle Richard Anderson

Anderson joins Berymon as another blue-chip defensive tackle in Louisiana. He’s already committed to LSU, and after a strong showing in the state playoffs, Anderson’s recruitment is about to take off.

LSU will have to fight blue-blood schools to maintain that commitment.

Anderson sits No. 34 overall in the On3 Industry Rankings, and it would not be a surprise to see him finish with five stars.

2. Safety Blaine Bradford

LSU has one of the top safeties in the class in its backyard. Bradford, a five-star, plays his high school ball at Catholic High School in Baton Rouge.

On3 and Rivals consider Bradford to be the top overall player at his position, and he’s not that far behind at 247Sports or ESPN either.

Schools like Alabama and Notre Dame are gearing up to make a run for Bradford, but LSU will fight hard to keep the five-star home.

1. Offensive lineman Lamar Brown

Brown has been one of the top targets on LSU’s radar for a while. Per 247Sports and Rivals, Brown is the top-ranked recruit at his position.

All four major recruiting services place Brown in the top 20 overall, giving him a chance to finish as a consensus five-star recruit. This is the type of player LSU can’t let leave Louisiana.

A few years ago, Louisiana gave LSU Will Campbell and Emery Jones. Brown and Martinez have a chance to make a similar impact if LSU can finish both recruitments.
