The Seahawks are usually never players in free agency. This past year was an exception to the rule as they splurged to sign defensive end Dre’Mont Jones to a lucrative three-year deal and added several more mid-level contracts, including reuniting with Bobby Wagner and Jarran Reed.
This coming free agency period Seattle will likely be back on the sidelines. At the moment the team only has $1.25 million in salary cap space for next year, meaning they’ll have to make some painful cuts.
