After recently ranking the offenses the Tennessee Titans will face in 2022, we’re now moving on to the defenses on the schedule, ranking them from best to worst.
Of Tennessee’s 14 upcoming opponents, five of them (Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts) finished with top-10 scoring defenses in 2021.
As far as pass defenses are concerned, three of Tennessee’s 2022 foes ranked in the top 10 in 2021 (Bills, Broncos, Packers), and four finished with top-10 run defenses (Cincinnati Bengals, Washington Commanders, Philadelphia Eagles, Colts).
Of course, some of those defenses could very well be worse this coming season, but a team like Tennessee’s Week 15 opponent, the Los Angeles Chargers, figures to be vastly improved.
After a season in which Tennessee’s offense struggled mightily, this isn’t an ideal slate of defenses for the Titans to try and rebound against. That said, let’s rank all of the Titans’ 2022 opponents’ defenses from best to worst.
