Oregon had no answer for Ezekiel Elliott, who rushed for 246 yards and four touchdowns. The Buckeyes overcame two injured Heisman contenders — Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett — and one awful 35-21 loss to Virginia Tech to win their first national title since the 2002 BCS championship. In the Buckeyes’ final three games — against Wisconsin, Alabama and Oregon — Elliott rushed for 696 yards.
