Though most, when they think of Michigan football, think of running backs and edge rushers, defensive back has quietly been one of the best position groups for the Wolverines over the years.
Michigan has put several into the NFL in the early rounds of the draft and the maize and blue have often been among the nation’s best pass defenses — especially throughout the Jim Harbaugh era.
With that in mind, we’re taking a look at the best cornerbacks and safeties that have rolled through Ann Arbor over the past 10 years. While we didn’t include Jabrill Peppers (at VIPER, he was more of a linebacker), these players stood out above the rest.
