Ranking Michigan’s 2020 schedule by game winnability

Taking a look at which games on the schedule are the easiest to the hardest while putting a prediction on Michigan’s chances to win.

5. Wisconsin – HOME (B1G opener) – Sept. 26

(Admittedly arbitrary) Chances of winning

60%

What poses difficulty

Wisconsin is still a power, as evidenced by multiple Big Ten Championship game berths. However, gone is Jonathan Taylor, Tyler Biadasz, Quintez Cephus and Zach Baun, taking away multiple of the Badgers’ top players.

However, QB Jack Coan returns and he very well could take a step forward on his own in 2020, and Wisconsin will certainly need him to.

Wisconsin has been a tough out on any given year, with the exception of the rout in 2018. This game will determine where either team goes this year.

How Michigan wins

Limiting whoever is running the ball for the Badgers while being explosive offensively.

Wisconsin is 2-2 against Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines, having lost both of the games it’s played in The Big House. Without J.T. in the backfield, the Badgers lose a ton of dynamism. This should be Michigan’s game to lose, provided it doesn’t shoot itself in the foot.
