4. Triple-double, 4/2/1989
Michael Jordan posted three triple-doubles against the Nets throughout his career. His first came in January of the 1987-88 season. The next two came the following year, within two weeks of one another.
Jordan grabbed 14 rebounds and dished out 12 assists as part of his 27-point performance against the Nets on April 2, 1989 — which helped lead to a 106-95 Chicago win (full box score). This game was also part of Jordan’s seven-game stretch in which he logged a triple-double.
Twelve days later, Jordan posted 29 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds against the Nets — his 10th triple-double in 11 games. Only this time, New Jersey walked away victorious (full box score).
