The race for college football’s most prestigious award, the Heisman Trophy, is wide open with no clear favorite through 11 weeks. No player has separated themselves from the pack but heading into rivalry and conference championship weekends someone will rise above the rest.
The 2021 winner, Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Bryce Young, is seemingly out of the mix after losing two games and missing another due to injury. The Tide has had four different winners at three separate positions under head coach Nick Saban.
In recent years, the award has heavily favored quarterbacks and that will likely remain the same this season. While there is still much time to put together a convincing Heisman campaign, as of right now here is who is most deserving.
