We know you’re spending all your time until the first round of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament on Friday tweaking your picks and doing your research for your brackets, whether it’s which dark horse teams might make a run, the upsets that might happen, who might win and the little bits of info that make the difference in picking games.

As I’ve done in each of the last four NCAA tournaments — I really missed doing this last year!! — I’m ranking every team based on their nickname or mascot.
My completely non-scientific system is based on a combination of moniker creativity, how threatening the mascot is and, sometimes, the look of the costumed thing. Away we go:
