Rangers’ Eli White robbed the Rays of a home run on a sensational leaping catch

“DID HE GET IT? HE DID!”

Eli White needed all of his six-foot-three frame to save this home run.

In what is sure to be baseball’s best catch of the year so far, White robbed the Tampa Bay Rays of an early home run with this stellar full-extension snag in center field. With two Rays runners on base and one out, Tampa Bay was threatening to score on the Texas Rangers with Ji-man Choi up to bat.

When Choi smacked the ball deep to center field, it seemed all but over for the Rangers. But not so fast! White was able to track the ball and time his jump just right to snag it with his glove, going up and over the railing to make it happen.

Oh WOW! Let’s see that again!

Talk about a game-changing play there from White. And not only that, White later helped extend the Rangers’ lead to 4-1 with a two-run shot in the bottom of the second!

What a game from White, and what a catch!
