A Rams game wasn’t scheduled to be the first event held at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, but that’s how things are turning out. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney and Guns N’ Roses have all postponed their tours – and all of their shows were slated to be held before the Rams’ preseason opener.
Swift and Chesney already postponed their shows at SoFi Stadium, and on Wednesday, Guns N’ Roses did the same. That means the next event on the calendar is Rams vs. Saints in the preseason, which doesn’t have an exact date yet.
It is scheduled to be played between August 13-17, though.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, Guns N’ Roses is postponing its North American Tour 2020 concert at SoFi Stadium on August 8.
Existing tickets will be honored for the new date. Refunds available at original point of purchase for 30 days after the new date announcement. https://t.co/Ojp1ew6UCz

When SoFi Stadium announced its initial schedule of events, the first one on the calendar was Swift’s concerts on July 27 and 28. Construction was slated to be done by then, but they were said to be on a tight timeline.
Now with all the concerts canceled, there’s more time for work to be done on the stadium. It’s hard to find any positives to take away from this situation, but perhaps that’s a small silver lining for those working on the building.
