Rams Week 1 injury report: Kupp, Bennett and Long ruled out vs. Seahawks

Check out the Rams’ first injury report of the 2023 season

The Los Angeles Rams are picking up right where they left off last season, and not in a good way. After an injury-plagued 2022 campaign, the Rams are already dealing with several injuries at the start of this season.

They released their first injury report of the season Wednesday, listing three players as non-participants: Cooper Kupp, Stetson Bennett and Hunter Long. Kupp is dealing with a hamstring injury, Stetson Bennett’s shoulder is bothering him and Long has a thigh issue that he’s been recovering from.

Sean McVay said before practice that all three players have already been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Seahawks. The Rams don’t have to officially submit game statuses until Friday but none of the three players will suit up this weekend.

See the full injury report below, which includes the Seahawks’ side, as well.

It looks like Jaxon Smith-Njigba will play against the Rams, and Devon Witherspoon was said to be unlikely to play last week but he was at least limited, so that gives him a shot to play. Jamal Adams has already been ruled out by Pete Carroll.
