For the second year in a row, the Los Angeles Rams have waived wide receiver Landen Akers as part of final roster cuts. Last season, he landed back with the practice squad and was elevated for a couple of games as a rookie, so one would figure they might try to re-sign him to the practice squad again this year.
Akers was signed as an undrafted rookie last year out of Iowa State. He caught three passes for 32 yards this preseason but was unable to crack a position that’s one of the deepest on the Rams’ roster.
