The Los Angeles Rams will have to trim their roster to 85 players next Tuesday, the first of three rounds of cuts. They’ve been tweaking things ahead of time by waiving and signing players during camp, making three more moves this week.
The Rams waived punter Brandon Wright and safety Jovan Grant on Tuesday, also claiming defensive back Tyler Hall off waivers from the Falcons.
Wright was the third punter on the team, while Grant was buried on the depth chart at safety where there’s a wealth of talent. Hall joins the team after a year with the Falcons; he was undrafted last year out of Wyoming.
He played nine games with Atlanta last season, primarily contributing on special teams with only six defensive snaps. He made six tackles on the year.
