Rams sign two veteran offensive linemen with starters injured

The Rams are bringing in two veterans with their offensive line decimated by injuries

Reinforcements are on the way for the Los Angeles Rams. With the offensive line ravaged by injuries just one week into the season, the Rams are adding help up front.

In addition to signing center Dylan McMahon off the Eagles’ practice squad, the Rams are also signing veteran linemen Ty Nsekhe and Geron Christian. The move was announced by the Elite Loyalty Sports agency.

It’s unclear if they are joining the practice squad or active roster, but they’ll have a chance to contribute on the offensive line regardless.

Christian last played with the Texans in 2023, playing nine games for Houston, all at left tackle. He’s primarily a left tackle but he’s also played on the right side during his six-year career.

Nsekhe played just one snap with the Browns last season after a brief stint with the Rams in 2022. He played 421 snaps with the Rams two years ago, all at left tackle, though he does also have experience at right tackle and left guard.

Joe Noteboom will miss a few weeks with an ankle injury and Alaric Jackson remains suspended for one more game, so the Rams are dangerously thin at left tackle. Rob Havenstein is also working his way back from an ankle injury and it’s unclear if he’ll play this week.
