The Los Angeles Rams’ running back room was decimated on Sunday afternoon, losing both Kyren Williams and Ronnie Rivers to injury. Sean McVay and Les Snead didn’t waste much time bringing in reinforcements, doing so in two different ways.
In addition to signing Darrell Henderson Jr. to the practice squad, they’ve added Myles Gaskin. They signed Gaskin off the Vikings’ practice squad and to their active roster, according to Adam Schefter.
Gaskin was released by the Dolphins in August and quickly scooped up by the Vikings, where he’s bounced back and forth from the active roster and practice squad. He was active for one game but didn’t play any snaps on offense.
Gaskin is a former seventh-round pick of the Dolphins, entering the NFL in 2019. Since then, he’s rushed for 1,355 yards in his career, though only 26 of those have come in the last two years.
He adds depth to the running back room, which features Zach Evans, Royce Freeman, Henderson and Gaskin.
