Rams, Seahawks have had trade talks with Falcons about WR Julio Jones

The star wideout is not connected to at least three of the NFC West teams.

Another big-time player in the NFL could be on the move to the NFC West this offseason. Last year, it was receiver DeAndre Hopkins to get traded to the Arizona Cardinals and tackle Trent Williams was traded to the San Francisco 49ers. This offseason, J.J. Watt and A.J. Green signed with the Cardinals and the Los Angeles Rams traded for quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Now, Atlanta Falcons receiver Julio Jones is on the trading block because Atlanta has to cut money from the salary cap to be able to sign its rookie class.

The NFC West could be a destination, based on recent reports.

The Cardinals have been connected to Jones because of Hopkins and his posts on social media.

However, there have been no reports of them being in discussions with the Falcons.

The Seattle Seahawks have been in talks with the Falcons, as quarterback Russell Wilson would like Jones to join him, giving them a trio at receiver of Jones, Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf.

So have the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams would end up with Jones, Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp.

The problem is neither team has a first-round pick next year.

However, if the Falcons are willing to part with Jones for a second-rounder, the NFC West could get even more interesting than it already is.

Could the Cardinals need to make a move to simply block the Rams or Seahawks from adding him?

It seems crazy to do that, but the alternative would be facing him twice a year on teams that are stacked at receiver.
