With Darrell Henderson Jr. expected to be a game-time decision on Sunday afternoon due to his lingering rib injury, the Los Angeles Rams are adding some extra depth at running back in the event that he can’t play against the Buccaneers. The team announced Saturday that it has called up Buddy Howell from the practice squad for Week 3, as well as defensive back Tyler Hall.
This is the second time Hall has been elevated to the active roster for a game this season, only playing special teams in the season opener against the Bears.
The Rams signed Howell to the practice squad on Sept. 3 after final cuts were made, and has remained there since. He’s unlikely to play if Henderson is active, but in the event that Henderson is out, Howell should be on the game day roster as a depth option behind Sony Michel and Jake Funk.
